Safety Precautions Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are following all precautions to avoid spreading the virus. You are advised to wear a mask throughout the cleanup and maintain 2 feet of physical distance. Please wear good quality shoes to avoid any cuts from broken glass pieces. Gloves You will be provided with good quality gloves to avoid direct contact of hands with waste. Cleanup bags We use High Density Poly Ethylene bags (Rice bags) to collect the waste on beaches due to their durability.
🌊 467th Beach Cleanup Activity – 23rd October 2022 🌊
On 23rd October 2022, Vizag Volunteers successfully conducted the 467th Beach Cleanup Activity, continuing our dedicated efforts to protect Vizag’s coastline and promote environmental awareness through active community participation.
The cleanup drive brought together committed volunteers who shared a common goal of preserving the natural beauty and cleanliness of our beaches. Volunteers enthusiastically collected plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, fishing debris, and other litter scattered along the shoreline. Their collective efforts helped restore the beach environment and prevent harmful waste from entering the ocean, where it can negatively impact marine life and coastal ecosystems.
The activity also served as an important platform to educate and inspire the public about environmental conservation. Volunteers interacted with beach visitors and local residents, spreading awareness about responsible waste disposal, reducing plastic consumption, and adopting sustainable habits that contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
