Groceries Distribution Araku

When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, many tribal communities living in the remote Agency areas faced difficulties in accessing essential supplies and daily necessities. Understanding the challenges faced by these communities, Vizag Volunteers Association initiated a grocery distribution program to provide support to families affected by the pandemic.

As the situation continued into the second wave in 2021, the need for assistance remained significant. To extend support to vulnerable tribal populations, Vizag Volunteers planned and organized grocery distribution drives in the Agency regions, beginning with Lambasingi and later expanding to villages near Araku.

A dedicated team of 10 volunteers came together to coordinate the initiative. The volunteers prepared and transported grocery kits containing essential household items to the selected tribal communities. Despite the challenges of traveling to remote and hilly regions, the team remained committed to reaching the beneficiaries and ensuring that the support was delivered directly to those in need.

The smiles and gratitude expressed by the beneficiaries served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community-driven service. Even a simple grocery kit could bring comfort, hope, and a sense of security to families facing hardship.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the 10 volunteers who dedicated their time, energy, and effort to this initiative. Their commitment to serving remote communities demonstrated the true spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility.
